Xiaomi Mi Super Bass Wireless Headphones Review

Xiaomi launched their first over-ear headphones called the Mi Super Bass Wireless Headphones in the Indian market last year.

Even though it’s not the latest product in the market. There’s might be confused about whether to buy this or not.

Well, In this post we will be doing a review on Xiaomi Mi Super Bass Wireless Headphones. The price in India is just ₹ 1,799. Also, it’s available in two different variants Black & Red and Black & Gold.

Build:

The look of Super Bass is really premium from a distance but not that much when it comes to close. It comes with full plastic material. However, because of that, it looks cheap.

Indeed, it has a compact build and in which it could easily fit in any type of head whether small or big. It also has expandable straps with a cushion on it. Along with this, the ear-cups has a good cushion as well.

Indeed the quality of the build isn’t that much good. In terms, it weighs only 150 G and that’s because of its plastic build and it doesn’t add much weight to the product.

Design:

The design of the headphones is slightly similar to other budgets wireless headphones. However in the case of Mi Super Bass Headphones to add more attractive to it they add a rim to it with red or gold. Which means it is available in two different options Red & Black or Gold & Black.

The design of just the ear coil is also sufficiently strong and built in a manner to reduce the strain on the ear when wearing the headphones for a long period.

The left side module has nothing except the logo on the outer side. While on the other hand, the right side module has all the control buttons along with a Micro-USB charging port.

Controls:

On the right-hand side of the wireless earphones module, most of the control is attached to it. Like the Up/Down Volume, Power On/Off button. With the volume button, you can Skip/Previous the track.

Call & Mic Quality:

The call and mic quality isn’t that much great. That’s maybe because of the absence of Noise Cancellation. Even in the indoor, the end person could hardly be able to hear your voices. In these cases using at outdoor might not be a good idea.

If your a person that makes a lot call this might not be a perfect choice. Instead, you can opt for Infinity Glide 510. But that’s also doesn’t have that Noise Cancellation feature. In fact, it is way better than Mi Super Bass Headphones.

There are also other features that can be really useful in which you can control the voice assistant to pick your genre of music. Or with the help of an inbuilt mic, you can even pick up calls.

Confort & Fit:

In terms of comfort and fit it stays on the good side. What I mean is that the cushion present in the headphones add a lot of comfort to it. But the problem is that the ear-cups are a bit small and because of that it can create pressure. Which can add pressure even if wear for a long time.

The size of human ears is not the same, because of that for some reason the experience in comfort and fit might slightly different. One thing is that instead of the over-ear design if we get another one the comfort level would be much greater.

Battery Performance:

As claim by Xiaomi the Mi super Bass Wireless Headphones can last upto 20 hours with just a single full charge. However, in reality, this isn’t the case.

Which means that you can get up to 15 Hours of Playback. This also depends upon the quality of music and volume percentage. Indeed, it uses Micro-USB for charging the Headphones. To get fully juice up it can take upto 2 Hours.

The battery might not be the major problem if you’re interested in using the 3.5mm headphone jack. In this case, to get rid of battery drainage you need to carry the cable all the time.

Connectivity:

It uses the latest technology of Bluetooth version 5.0. Because of this, it gets a better and good connection performance. In this case, it does the job very well even the connection is very stable and there is no lag on it.

Even where the Headphone and device have a wall between them there are no connection issues on it. However, almost all other Headphones accompany 10 M of connectivity distance.

And yes if you get rid of using Bluetooth connection you can connect using through the 3.5mm jack in which you can get better performance.

Latency:

The Latency in this headphone really works well. It can get reach to that minimum level even if not that’s perfect. Well, while streaming an online video from a platform like YouTube, Netflix, etc there is a feeling that there’s no lag on it.

But in the case of Game, you can’t get that level of latency that you want. This is the same as other wireless earphones. But for casual players, it’s not that noticeable.

But if you use the 3.5mm jack you can bring down a lot of latency level. If you use in the wired or wireless mode you can notice the level of change in latency.

As the name say’s this Xiaomi Mi Super Bass Wireless Headphones is especially for those who wanna listen to music with a lot of basses to it. This Super Bass has a 40mm Dynamic Drivers along with an Impedance of 32Ω.

The bass is definitely quite an emphasis in this regard. Because of that reason, it sounds a bit on muddied sight of the song. Indeed, the bass often slides into the voice. Slightly messy, too, with the vocal as well.

With regard to bass whether depth or hard you get that too. But it doesn’t make it too straightforward and punchy, though. In fact, it contributes to a mellow feeling because of this.

Even the vocal gets slightly drowned due to the bass. In fact, the sounding isn’t that much great in fact it sounds a little bit subdued.

Coming to the higher tones, there’s some sort of lacking and some of the instruments that we use to hear in the higher tone is subdued. And because of that, there’s no punchy sound at all.

Indeed, if you want more balance in terms of Bass, Mids, or High you can go with a wired mode. With the 3.5mm jack, there’s a lot of difference with the wireless one. Even the Bass is more balance and vocals are much clear and even the high tones aren’t that much muted.

By looking at the build quality this isn’t that much on the premium side. Well, but for the price it’s good. Also, there’s a bit of a lack of comfort level. But the battery and connectivity couldn’t be ignored that’s because most of the budget headphones this doesn’t offer.

However, in terms of sound, we can’t say that Mi Super Bads Headphones is a good choice. It is not that’s because of its heavy it gets muffled up with another segment of the song.

In fact, if you’re the one that likes a lot of Bass while listening to music or song. This could definitely satisfy your hunger.
